ADI ADUM2281ARIZ

The ADuM2280/ADuM2281/ADuM2285/ADuM2286 are 5 kV rms dual-channel digital isolators based on ADI's iCoupler technology. These isolation devices integrate high-speed CMOS with monolithic air core transformer technology, offering superior performance characteristics over alternatives such as optocouplers and other integrated coupler devices. These devices feature a maximum propagation delay of 24 ns, with Grade C pulse width distortion of less than 2 ns. Grade C also provides tight channel-to-channel matching of 5 ns. The ADuM228x offers two channel configurations with three different data rates, up to a maximum of 100 Mbps. All models operate from a 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply voltage, ensuring compatibility with low-voltage systems and enabling voltage translation across the isolation barrier. Unlike other optocouplers, the ADuM228x isolators feature a patented refresh function that ensures DC correctness in the absence of input logic transitions. At initial power-up or when power has not yet been applied to the input side, the ADuM2280 and ADuM2281 default to a logic high output, while the ADuM2285 and ADuM2286 default to a logic low output.
