Introduction
LGS5600C is a multifunctional power management SOC integrating a boost converter, lithium battery charge management, and battery charge status indication. With a quiescent current as low as 3μA, it provides a complete power solution for portable devices. The charging current and voltage are adjustable, supporting various lithium battery specifications, with a maximum charging current of 1A. The charging current can be automatically adjusted based on lithium battery temperature for safe and reliable operation. The discharge output is a fixed 5V voltage with efficiency up to 95%. Standby current is as low as 3μA, supporting long-term lithium battery standby. The chip integrates charge-in-progress and charge-complete indicators, as well as a battery-not-connected indicator. It supports simultaneous charging and discharging; however, in this mode, 5V output short-circuit protection is not supported and the 5V output voltage will drop under load.
