Introduction
The THS7530-Q1 is manufactured using an advanced BiCom III SiGe complementary bipolar process. It is a DC-coupled, high-bandwidth amplifier with voltage-controlled gain. The amplifier features a high-impedance differential input and low-impedance differential output, providing high-bandwidth gain control, output common-mode control, and output voltage clamping. The device delivers excellent dynamic performance at 300MHz bandwidth. At 32MHz with a 1 VPP output applied to a 400Ω load, the third-harmonic distortion is –61dBc. Gain control (in dB) varies linearly. Over a voltage range of 0V to 0.9V, the gain varies from 11.6dB to 46.5dB at a slope of 38.8dB/V. The output voltage limiting function restricts output voltage swing and prevents saturation in subsequent stages. The device is rated for operation over the automotive temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.
