Introduction
This relative humidity duct sensor features a thermoset polymer capacitive sensing element with a factory-installed hydrophobic filter for enhanced moisture protection. Its multilayer construction provides reliable performance in applications where dust, dirt, grease, and common environmental chemicals are present. The sensor includes onboard DIP switches that allow users to select the desired output signal, and can be powered by either AC or DC supply. Each unit also includes 0%, 50%, and 100% test options to verify that the transmitter is functioning properly and wired correctly. Field calibration can be performed using the increment and decrement calibration DIP switches without replacing the sensing element. These enhanced features provide greater flexibility and excellent long-term reliability, eliminating the need for field sensor replacement. The duct configuration features a weatherproof European-style enclosure with a sealed cover and conformal-coated circuit board for improved moisture resistance in high-humidity environments. The sensor is protected by a stainless steel sintered filter. A three-point NIST calibration certificate is available.
