The UltraMOV® Metal Oxide Varistor series is designed for applications requiring high peak surge current ratings and high energy absorption capability. These devices are primarily intended for AC line voltage applications such as surge protective devices, uninterruptible power supplies, AC power strips, AC energy meters, or other products requiring suppression of high transient surge current voltages arising from lightning strikes, inductive load switching, or capacitor bank switching. The series is available in 7 mm, 10 mm, 14 mm, and 20 mm radial lead package sizes with multiple lead configurations. These varistors feature an approved epoxy encapsulation, rated for ambient temperatures up to 85°C with no derating required. The series uses laser marking and is available in bulk or tape-and-reel packaging.
