Introduction
XR1015-QH is a 10.0 - 16.0 GHz QFN-packaged receiver with a noise figure of 2.5 dB and a conversion gain of 12.0 dB. The device integrates an LNA, an image rejection mixer, and an LO buffer amplifier in a 4x4mm fully molded QFN package. The image rejection mixer eliminates the need for a bandpass filter after the LNA to suppress thermal noise at the image frequency. I and Q mixer outputs are provided, requiring an external 90-degree hybrid to select the desired sideband. The device is fabricated using M/A-COM Technology Solutions' GaAs pHEMT device model technology based on electron beam lithography to ensure high repeatability and consistency. It is designed for point-to-point radio applications and is also suitable for other telecommunications applications such as SATCOM and VSAT.
