Introduction
The Alvium 1800 C-500 features the onsemi AR0521SR, delivering 68.0 fps at 5MP resolution. The powerful Alvium 1800 C MIPI CSI-2 camera series enables embedded system developers to leverage Sony's high-performance image sensors popular in the machine vision industry. These sensors, offering resolutions up to 20MP, deliver outstanding image quality with frame rates doubled compared to equivalent Alvium 1500 C models. To operate Alvium CSI-2 cameras on vision systems, Allied Vision provides different access modes: - Via GenICam for CSI-2 Access, control the camera directly through GenICam features using the Alvium CSI-2 driver and CSI-2 transport layer (TL). Currently supported models include Alvium 1800 C-234, C-235, C-500, C-507, C-511, C-1236, and C-2050. Refer to the Getting Started guide in the GenICam for CSI-2 application note for FAQs and installation instructions. - Direct Register Access (DRA) for advanced users to control the camera via registers. - Video4Linux2 access enables camera control through the well-established V4L2 API and applications such as GStreamer and OpenCV.
