The 4th Generation 2.4" Diablo16 Integrated Display Module is part of the latest Gen 4 module range designed and manufactured by 4D Systems. The Gen 4 range is designed for easy integration and use, with space requirements and functionality carefully considered. This particular Gen 4 module features a 2.4" color TFT LCD display, available in non-touch or optional resistive touch variants. It is powered by the feature-rich 4D Labs Diablo16 graphics processor, offering designers, integrators, and users a wide range of capabilities and options. The Diablo16 processor features 16 configurable GPIOs supporting PWM, serial, I2C, SPI, pulse output, quadrature input, and analog input. The 2.4" Diablo16 Integrated Display Module features a TFT LCD display with touch detection, microSD memory storage, GPIO and communications, multiple millisecond-resolution timers, and audio generation capabilities. The Gen 4 range is 100% compatible with the Workshop4 IDE and its 4 different development environments, providing users with extensive options for programming and controlling the system. Any program designed to run on other 4D Systems display modules using the Picaso or Diablo16 graphics processor can be run on this Gen 4 Integrated Display Module with little to no modification. The Gen 4 Integrated Display Module range features a 30-pin ZIF/FFC/FPC socket designed to accept a 30-pin FPC cable, enabling easy connection to an application or motherboard, or to an accessory board for a range of functional upgrades. The Gen 4 module range is designed to minimize the footprint of display-related circuitry and provide a platform suitable for integration into products. If required, an application board can be mounted flat against the rear of the Gen 4 module, as the display-related electronics are housed within the plastic mounting base, leaving the application board surface available for user circuitry.
