Introduction
This highly miniaturized LGA module measures 14 x 14 x 1.5 mm and is based on the DW1000 UWB transceiver and nRF52832 BLE chip. It provides a simple user interface via SPI connection and integrates a Cortex M4 CPU, flash memory, and RAM, paired with an optimized antenna. The ISP3010 delivers a perfect standalone ranging module solution for security and protection applications. For longer-range applications, the ISP3010 can be used with an external UWB antenna. The module integrates decoupling capacitors, a 38.4 MHz crystal for UWB, 32 MHz and 32.768 kHz crystals for BLE, a DC-DC converter, a DC pulse power adapter for UWB, RF matching circuits, and two antennas. UWB communication complies with the IEEE 802.15.4 standard, providing a simple user interface with over-the-air control via Bluetooth, supporting security and protection applications and ranging up to 50 meters. BLE connectivity complies with Bluetooth 5, operable in peripheral or central roles; the full-featured BLE protocol stack for the nRF52832 is implemented in the S132 SoftDevice, available as a free download.
