Introduction
Maxim's redesigned DG441/DG442 analog switches now feature on-resistance matching between switches (4Ω max) and guaranteed on-resistance flatness over the signal range (9Ω max). These low on-resistance switches conduct equally well in either direction. They guarantee low charge injection (10pC max), low power dissipation (1.65mW), and ESD protection of at least 2000V per Method 3015.7. The new design offers lower off-state leakage current at elevated temperatures (less than 5nA at +85°C).
The DG441/DG442 are quad single-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switches. The DG441 features four normally closed switches, while the DG442 features four normally open switches. Switching times are tON < 250ns and tOFF < 170ns. These devices operate from either a single supply of +10V to +30V or dual supplies of ±4.5V to ±20V. The improved DG441/DG442 continues to be manufactured using a 44V silicon-gate process.
