Introduction
The ADP2119/ADP2120 are low quiescent current, synchronous step-down DC-DC regulators housed in a compact 3 mm x 3 mm LFCSP_WD package. Both devices employ a current-mode, constant-frequency PWM control scheme, delivering excellent stability and transient response performance. Under light-load conditions, these devices can be configured to operate in PFM mode, reducing switching frequency and saving power.
The ADP2119/ADP2120 support input voltages ranging from 2.3 V to 5.5 V. The adjustable version allows output voltage to be set anywhere from 0.6 V to VIN, while fixed-output versions offer preset output voltage options of 3.3 V, 2.5 V, 1.8 V, 1.5 V, 1.2 V, and 1.0 V. The ADP2119/ADP2120 integrate the power switch, synchronous rectifier, and internal compensation, requiring minimal external components to deliver a high-efficiency solution. The IC draws less than 2 μA from the input supply when disabled. Additional key features include UVLO, integrated soft-start to limit inrush current during startup, OVP, OCP, and TSD.
