Introduction
MT7844D is a high power factor, non-isolated LED driver IC. It achieves full-cycle sensing through a floating ground, high-side sensing, buck switching power supply architecture. With an internally integrated high-voltage supply circuit, MT7844D eliminates the need for startup resistors and supply diodes, reducing BOM cost. MT7844D operates in quasi-resonant mode, improving both efficiency and EMI performance. MT7844D integrates multiple protection features, including OVP, OCP, over-temperature compensation, and more, enhancing reliability — all protections feature auto-recovery. A built-in 550V high-voltage MOSFET simplifies the peripheral circuitry.
