The TLV6216X is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC-DC converter optimized for high power density applications. The typical 2.25MHz high switching frequency allows the use of small inductors and provides fast transient response and high output voltage accuracy through DCS-Control™ topology.

With its wide 3V to 17V operating input voltage range, this device is well-suited for systems powered by lithium-ion or other batteries, as well as 12V intermediate power rails. It supports up to 1A continuous output current (using 100% duty cycle mode) at output voltages between 0.9V and 6V.

Power sequencing can also be achieved by configuring the enable and open-drain power-good pins.

In power save mode, the device draws approximately 17μA quiescent current from VIN. At light loads, the device automatically and seamlessly enters power save mode to maintain high efficiency across the full load range. In shutdown mode, the device is disabled and shutdown current consumption is less than 2μA.

The device is available in adjustable and fixed output voltage versions, offered in an 8-pin WSON (DSG) package measuring 2×2mm or an 8-pin MSOP (DGK) package.
