Description
The INA253-Q1 is an automotive-grade voltage-output, current-sensing amplifier with an integrated 2mΩ shunt resistor. It can monitor bidirectional current within a wide common-mode range from –4V to +80V independently of the power supply voltage. There are three fixed gains available: 100mV/A, 200mV/A, and 400mV/A. By integrating a precision resistor and a zero-drift chopper amplifier, it can provide calibrated equivalent measurement accuracy for the sense resistor, ultra-low temperature drift performance of 15ppm/°C, and an optimized Kelvin layout. The INA253-Q1 uses an enhanced PWM rejection circuit to suppress large (dv/dt) signals, enabling real-time continuous current measurement. This measurement is crucial for in-line current measurement in motor drive applications and solenoid control applications. The device operates from a single power supply of 2.7V to 5.5V and consumes a maximum supply current of 3mA. All gain versions are rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and are available in a 20-pin TSSOP package.
