Introduction
The ACPL-M62L is an optocoupler that combines an AlGaAs LED with an integrated high-gain photodetector to meet low power consumption requirements. This optocoupler features a maximum IDD current consumption as low as 1.5 mA across the entire temperature range. With a forward current as low as 2 mA, it can be driven directly by most microprocessors. The ACPL-M62L supports 3.3 V and 5 V supply voltages, with guaranteed AC and DC operating parameters over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. The detector IC output is open-drain type. An internal Faraday shield provides a common mode transient immunity specification of 20 kV/μs. This unique design achieves TTL/CMOS compatibility while providing maximum AC and DC circuit isolation. These optocouplers are suitable for high-speed logic interfaces with extremely low power consumption. A 0.1 μF bypass capacitor must be connected between the VDD pin and the GND pin.
