Introduction
The LTC3777 is a high-performance buck-boost switching regulator controller that operates when the input voltage is above, below, or equal to the output voltage. A constant-frequency current mode architecture allows a phase-lockable frequency of up to 600kHz, while input/output constant current loops support battery charging. The 150V integrated switch bias supply is a high-efficiency buck regulator that delivers a regulated output voltage with a typical no-load DC supply current of only 12μA.
With a wide input and output range of 4.5V to 150V and seamless transitions between operating regions, the LTC3777 is ideal for industrial, telecom, and battery-powered system applications.
The LTC3777 features a power good output indicator and a mode pin for selecting pulse skip mode or forced continuous operation mode. The PLLIN pin allows the IC to synchronize with an external clock. The SS pin regulates the output voltage during startup. Current foldback limits MOSFET power dissipation under short-circuit conditions.
