Introduction
The TC74LCX16245 is a high-performance CMOS 16-bit bus transceiver designed for 2.5V or 3.3V systems, achieving high-speed operation while maintaining the low power consumption characteristic of CMOS. The device is suitable for low-voltage (2.5V or 3.3V) VCC applications, but can also be used as an interface in environments where both inputs and outputs operate at 5V. This 16-bit bus transceiver is controlled by a direction control (DIR) input and an output enable (OE) input, both common to each byte. It can be used as two 8-bit transceivers or a single 16-bit transceiver. The direction of data transfer is determined by the logic level of the DIR input. The OE input can be used to disable the device, effectively isolating the bus. All inputs are equipped with ESD protection circuitry.
