All products are tested to ANSI/UL 8750 to ensure safe operation in their intended applications and comply with REACh and RoHS standards, free from hazardous substances such as lead and mercury. Every LED undergoes comprehensive testing to ensure it meets the high quality standards customers expect from Luminus products. Each chip is marked with a 2D barcode containing a serial number, enabling Luminus to provide customers with actual measured test data for specific LEDs. In addition, the barcode is linked to a production date code, enabling traceability of manufacturing processes and materials. Products are measured at typical luminaire operating temperatures, with each device tested at a junction temperature of 85℃, eliminating the need to extrapolate datasheet specifications to real-world application conditions. Chromaticity binning ensures color consistency across production lots, with standard products offered in 3-step MacAdam ellipse bins to guarantee color performance matching in applications. These tightly controlled, narrow distribution bins provide customers with predictable and repeatable color.
