3M professional terminals, including ring tongue terminals from 14-10S-WN to 16-500S-WN, nylon insulated with brazed seam. Crimp-type terminals shall be electrically and mechanically connected to the pre-stripped ends of stranded copper conductors, with a flat tongue section featuring a center hole for mounting around a screw or stud. The terminal series shall offer various tongue hole (stud) sizes (10, 1/4 in., 5/16 in., etc.) and configurations (ring, fork, block fork, flanged block fork, locking fork, etc.); as well as various barrel wire (AWG) sizes (22-18, 16-14, 12-10, etc.) and constructions (non-insulated brazed seam, vinyl-insulated butt seam, nylon-insulated with insulation grip, etc.). Terminal tongues shall be marked with wire range and manufacturer's symbol. Nylon-insulated, brazed-seam ring tongue terminals shall be tin-plated, annealed copper, with tongues having designated stud holes (sizes from 10 to 5/8 in.), brazed-seam barrel covered by a molded nylon funnel-entry sleeve, color-coded and suitable for designated (AWG) wire ranges (8, 6, 4). Insulated terminals shall be UL listed and CSA certified, rated for building wire at a maximum of 600V; up to 1000V in signs, fixtures, and luminaires, with a maximum operating temperature of 221°F (105°C).
