Introduction
The SGM42505 and SGM42506 are brushed DC motor drivers. These devices integrate four N-MOSFETs capable of delivering up to 3.6A peak current at 40V. The SGM42505 supports an IN1/IN2 PWM interface, while the SGM42506 supports a PH/EN interface. PWM signals can be applied to the input interface to regulate motor speed. Users can adjust the PWM current limit or torque in real time via the VREF pin using either a controller DAC output or an RC-filtered PWM signal. The devices provide multiple protection features, including overcurrent, short-circuit, UVLO, and thermal shutdown. The devices automatically resume normal operation once the fault condition is removed. The SGM42505 and SGM42506 are available in a Green SOIC-8 (Exposed Pad) package.
