KP524201A/08A is a simple, easy-to-use, and highly integrated synchronous buck converter. It features a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 17V, making it well-suited for common input voltage rails such as 12V and 15V. It supports up to 4A continuous output current with an output voltage range of 0.768V to 7V. The KP524201A operates in pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode under light load to maintain high light-load efficiency; the KP524208A operates in forced pulse width modulation (FPWM) mode to achieve a fixed switching frequency and low output ripple across the full load current range. KP524201A/08A integrates comprehensive protection features, including input undervoltage lockout (UVLO), cycle-by-cycle valley current limiting (OCL), output undervoltage hiccup protection (UVP), output overvoltage protection (OVP), and overtemperature protection (OTP), ensuring safe and reliable operation under various operating conditions. KP524201A/08A is available in a compact TSOT23-6 package with an operating junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
