KP522201B/08B is a simple, easy-to-use, and highly integrated synchronous buck converter. It features a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 17V, making it well-suited for common input voltage rails such as 12V and 15V. It supports up to 2A continuous output current with an output voltage range of 0.6V to 7V. KP522201B operates in Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) mode at light load to maintain high light-load efficiency; KP522208B operates in Forced Pulse Width Modulation (FPWM) mode to achieve a fixed switching frequency and low output ripple across the full load current range. KP522201B/08B integrates comprehensive protection features, including input undervoltage lockout (UVLO), cycle-by-cycle valley current limiting protection (OCL), output undervoltage hiccup protection (UVP), output overvoltage protection (OVP), and overtemperature protection (OTP), ensuring safe and reliable operation under various operating conditions.
