Introduction
This device is designed for use with air-core gauge movements. It provides all the functions required to implement an analog tachometer or speedometer. The device accepts a speed sensor input and generates the corresponding sine and cosine output signals to drive an air-core gauge movement in a differential manner. The outputs use differential drivers, eliminating the need for a Zener reference while delivering higher torque. The device can withstand 60V transient voltages, reducing the required protection circuitry.
