Introduction
This 10A high-temperature AC switch thyristor and standard TRIAC series is available in TO-220AB, TO-220 isolated, and TO-263 packages, with a maximum junction temperature of 150°C and a surge current I of 120A at 60Hz. The series enables simplified thermal management and enhanced surge handling capability in AC power control applications such as heater control, motor speed control, lighting control, and static switch relays. The AC switch thyristor TRIACs operate in quadrants I, II, and III, delivering high performance in applications requiring high commutation capability.

- L package UL recognized E71639, electrical isolation 2500 VRMS
- No contact wear, eliminates reaction to switching events
- Solid-state switching eliminates arcing or contact bounce that generates voltage transients
- Limited RFI generation, dependent on sine wave trigger point
- Only one small gate trigger pulse required per half cycle
