Introduction
The Model 82 Compensated Pressure Transducer is a small-diameter 19mm, media-compatible piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor housed in a 316L stainless steel package. The sensor can be configured with O-ring mounting or threaded process connections, and is designed for OEM applications requiring compatibility with corrosive media. The sensing assembly uses silicone oil to transfer pressure from a 316L stainless steel diaphragm to the sensing element. A ceramic substrate attached to the assembly contains laser-trimmed resistors for temperature compensation and offset correction. An additional laser-trimmed resistor is also included, which can be used to adjust an external differential amplifier to achieve span interchangeability within ±1%.
