Introduction
The LVTH16952 devices are 16-bit registered transceivers designed for low-voltage (3.3V) Vcc operation, while providing TTL interface capability to 5V system environments. These devices can be used as two 8-bit transceivers or one 16-bit transceiver. When the clock-enable (CLKENAB or CLKENBA) input is low, data on the A or B bus is stored in the register during the low-to-high transition of the clock (CLKAB or CLKBA) input. Driving the output-enable (OEAB or OEBA) input low provides access to data at either port. Active bus-hold circuitry is provided to maintain unused or floating data inputs at a valid logic level. When Vcc is between 0 and 1.5V, the device is in a high-impedance state during power-up or power-down. However, to ensure the high-impedance state is maintained above 1.5V, OE should be connected to Vcc through a pullup resistor; the minimum value of this resistor is determined by the current-sinking capability of the driver. These devices are fully specified for Ioff and power-up three-state functionality in hot-plug applications. The Ioff circuit disables the outputs to prevent damaging current backflow through the device when it is powered down. The power-up three-state circuit places the outputs in a high-impedance state during power-up and power-down to prevent driver contention. The SN54LVTH16952 operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The SN74LVTH16952 operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
