Introduction
The TPS706 series linear regulators are ultra-low quiescent current devices designed for power-sensitive applications. A precision bandgap and error amplifier provides 2% accuracy over the temperature range. The 1μA quiescent current makes these devices an ideal solution for always-on, battery-powered systems that require very low idle-state power dissipation. The series also features thermal shutdown, current limiting, and reverse current protection for enhanced device safety. Pulling the EN pin low places the regulator into shutdown mode, with a shutdown current as low as 150nA (typical). The TPS706 series is available in WSON-6 and SOT-23-5 packages.
