Avago's Power PLCC-4 is an extension of its PLCC-2 SMT LED. Due to its superior package design, this package can be driven at higher currents. Compared to conventional PLCC-2 SMT LEDs, this product dissipates heat more effectively. As drive current increases, these LEDs are capable of producing higher light output than conventional PLCC-2 SMT LEDs.

These SMT LEDs offer higher reliability and better performance, designed to operate across a wide range of environmental conditions. This high reliability makes them suitable for harsh environments and conditions, such as automotive applications. In addition, they are also suitable for electronic signage and signals.

For easy pick-and-place assembly, the LEDs are packaged in EIA-standard tape and reel. Each reel will be shipped in a single intensity and color bin to provide a high degree of consistency.

These LEDs are compatible with IR reflow soldering processes.
