Descripción
The HCS370 is a Code Hopping encoder in an 8-SOIC package designed for secure RKE systems and secure remote control systems. The HCS370 utilizes KEELOQ code hopping technology, which combines high security, a compact package footprint, and low cost, making the device an ideal solution for one-way authentication systems and access control systems.
The HCS370 creates a secure transmission code using a hopping code generated by a nonlinear encryption algorithm, along with a serial number and status bits. The length of the transmission code eliminates the threat of access techniques such as code scanning and code grabbing.
The encryption key, serial number, and configuration data are stored in an EEPROM array that cannot be accessed through any external connection. The EEPROM data is programmable but read-protected. Data can only be verified after an automatic erase-and-program operation is performed. This prevents attempts to retrieve the encryption key or manipulate synchronization values. In addition, the HCS370 supports dual encoders. This allows two manufacturers to use the same device without requiring the same manufacturer code in each encoder. The HCS370 provides an easy-to-use serial interface for programming the necessary encryption keys, system parameters, and configuration data.
