The MCP648x series single, dual, and quad op amps represent a new generation of precision, low-power op amps. Featuring rail-to-rail input and output (RRIO) swing, low quiescent current (typical 720μA), combined with wide bandwidth (9MHz) and ultra-low noise (12nV/√Hz at 1kHz), this series is well suited for battery-powered applications requiring a good balance between cost and performance, such as audio output, motor phase current sensing, photodiode amplification, barcode scanners, and white goods. Low input bias current enables use in applications with megaohm-level source impedances. The robust design of the MCP648x amplifiers provides ease of use for circuit designers: unity-gain stability with capacitive loads up to 500pF, integrated RF/EMI rejection filters, no phase reversal under overdrive conditions, and high ESD protection (5kV HBM). The MCP648x amplifiers are optimized over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C for voltages as low as +2.0V (±1.0V) and as high as +5.5V (±2.75V). The MCP6481 (single) is available in SOT23-5 and SOP-8 packages. The MCP6482 (dual) is available in SOP-8 and MSOP-8 packages. The quad MCP6484 is available in SOP-14 and TSSOP-14 packages.
