VS-HFA16TB120SHM3 is an advanced ultrafast recovery diode. Utilizing the latest epitaxial structure and advanced processing technology, it offers an exceptional combination of characteristics that surpass any previously available rectifier. The VS-HFA16TB120SHM3 is rated at 1200V and 16A continuous current, making it particularly suitable as a companion diode for IGBTs and MOSFETs. In addition to ultrafast recovery times, the HEXFRED® product line features extremely low peak recovery current (IRRM) and no tendency toward "snap-off" during the tb portion of recovery. HEXFRED characteristics provide designers with a rectifier that delivers lower noise and significantly reduced switching losses in both the diode and switching transistor. These HEXFRED advantages help substantially reduce snubbing requirements, component count, and heatsink size. The HEXFRED VS-HFA16TB120SHM3 is ideally suited for power supplies and power conversion systems such as inverters, motor drives, and many other similar applications requiring high speed and high efficiency.
