These isolation devices integrate high-speed CMOS with single-chip air-core transformer technology, delivering superior performance characteristics over alternatives such as optocouplers and other integrated coupler devices. These devices feature a maximum propagation delay of 13ns and pulse width distortion of less than 3ns at 5V, with tight channel matching of 3.0ns (maximum). The ADuM140D/ADuM140E/ADuM141D/ADuM141E/ADuM142D/ADuM142E data channels are independent channels offering multiple configuration options, with voltage ratings of 3.0kVrms or 3.75kVrms. All devices operate from 1.8V to 5V supply voltages, ensuring compatibility with low-voltage systems and supporting level translation across the isolation barrier. Unlike other optocouplers, DC correctness is guaranteed in the absence of input logic transitions. They provide two distinct fail-safe options, where outputs transition to a predefined state when input power is absent or input is disabled. ADuM140E1/ADuM141E1/ADuM142E1 are pin-compatible with ADuM1400/ADuM1401/ADuM1402.
