The AS621x IC series is a high-accuracy temperature sensor system that communicates with other devices via a two-wire digital bus. It consists of a silicon bandgap temperature sensor, an analog-to-digital converter, and a digital signal processor. The series includes three different models (AS6212, AS6214, and AS6218), which differ in temperature accuracy. High temperature accuracy and ultra-low power consumption (low operating and quiescent current) make the AS621x ideal for mobile or battery-powered applications. The AS621x is an easy-to-integrate and easy-to-use solution, featuring a factory-calibrated sensor, integrated linearization, and support for 8 different I²C addresses, allowing up to eight AS621x devices on a single bus. In addition, the AS621x temperature sensor system includes an alert function that can trigger an interrupt to protect devices from over-temperature conditions.
