MLX91377 is a monolithic magnetic position processing IC. It consists of a Hall-effect magnetic front-end, an analog-to-digital signal conditioner, a DSP for advanced signal processing, and an output stage driver. MLX91377 is sensitive to the magnetic flux density applied perpendicular to the IC (i.e., Bz). This enables MLX91377, combined with the appropriate magnetic circuit, to decode the absolute position or linear displacement of any moving magnet. It allows the design of contactless position sensors, which are frequently required in automotive and industrial applications. MLX91377 offers two output modes. First, the IC supports SPC frames encoded according to the safe sensor format. Through programming, MLX91377 can also be configured to output an analog signal.
