The ultra-stable X8R exhibits no capacitance change with voltage and minimal capacitance variation with ambient temperature. It serves as a suitable alternative to high-capacitance, large-case-size devices that cannot provide capacitance stability. Capacitance change with temperature is limited to ±15% over the range of -55°C to +150°C.

Driven by the demand for more robust and reliable components, ultra-stable X8R dielectric capacitors are developed for critical applications requiring reliability and capacitance stability at elevated operating temperatures. These capacitors are widely used in automotive circuits and general high-temperature applications.

In addition to commercial-grade products, automotive-grade products are also available and qualified to AEC-Q200 requirements of the Automotive Electronics Council.
