The NovaSensor voltage-compensated NPI-15VC series sensors combine the performance of current-compensated sensors with the convenience of voltage supply operation. The voltage compensation feature allows direct connection to a power supply without additional components to build a constant current source. These sensors have a calibrated full-scale output (FSO) of 100mV ± 1%, enabling field interchangeability. Like all NPI media-isolated sensors, they are designed for harsh environments while offering the excellent sensitivity, linearity, and hysteresis characteristics of silicon sensors. The piezoresistive sensor die is housed in a fluid-filled cylindrical cavity, isolated from the measured media by a stainless steel diaphragm and housing. The NPI series employs SenStable® processing technology for exceptional output stability. The modular design allows the use of multiple pressure port modules, which are hermetically welded to the sensor head module. To compensate for temperature effects, a resistor network is incorporated on a hybrid ceramic substrate. The IsoSensor design minimizes temperature errors, with a maximum zero offset error of 1.0% FSO and a maximum FSO error of 0.75% FSO over a compensated range of 32°F to 158°F (0°C to 70°C).
