The device is preset with the default factory configuration, allowing it to be reprogrammed according to another application configuration before being installed on a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) or reprogrammed through in-system programming. All device settings can be programmed via the Serial Data/Serial Clock (SDA/SCL) bus, a two-wire serial interface. Three freely programmable control inputs (S0, S1, and S2) can be used to select different frequencies or other control functions, including disabling the output to a low level, outputting in a high-impedance state, powering down, and bypassing the PLL. The CDCx824 can operate at a voltage of 1.8 V, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
