The MSP430F67xxA multi-phase metering SoC is a powerful, highly integrated solution that delivers high-accuracy metering with minimal external components and low system cost. This MCU family is dedicated to energy measurement and power monitoring applications, including smart grid and building automation.
The MSP430F67xxA MCU features up to seven independent 24-bit Σ-Δ ADCs, providing better than 0.1% accuracy. The MSP430F67xxA integrates a high-performance MSP430 CPU and a 32-bit multiplier to execute all metering calculations. Family members include up to 512KB of flash memory, 32KB of RAM, and an LCD controller supporting up to 320 segments.
The MSP430F67xxA offers ultra-low power consumption to minimize system power supply requirements, reducing total cost. Low standby power demands minimal energy storage and enables longer retention of critical data during main power failures.
The MSP430F67xxA MCU family is supported by an extensive software and hardware ecosystem. The Energy Measurement Design Center (EMDC) simplifies development and accelerates design by quickly configuring the energy measurement software library, auto-generating code, performing calibration, and viewing results. The MSP430F67xxA MCU runs an energy measurement software library that calculates all relevant energy and power results. Development kits include the EVM430-F6779 three-phase meter evaluation board and the MSP-TS430PEU128 128-pin target development board. Industry-standard development tools and software platforms are also available to accelerate the development of meters compliant with all ANSI and IEC standards.
