The KEMET T494 is a low-ESR version of the popular T491, designed for today's highly automated SMT processes and equipment. The T494 combines KEMET's proven solid tantalum technology — acclaimed and recognized worldwide — with the latest materials, processes, and automation techniques to deliver unmatched overall performance and value. This product meets or exceeds the requirements of EIA standard 535BAAC. Per J STD 020, the T494 has a Moisture Sensitivity Level (MSL) of 1, with unlimited floor life at temperatures ≤30°C and 85% relative humidity. The T494's standard terminations are 100% matte tin, offering excellent solderability and compatibility with today's SMT soldering systems. Sn/Pb terminations are available upon request for any part number. Gold-plated terminations are also available for conductive epoxy attachment processes. These devices are packaged in tape and reel as standard, conforming to EIA 481. The system is fully compatible with all tape-fed pick-and-place equipment.
