ADI EVAL-ADXRS450Z

The ADXRS450/ADXRS453 Inertial Sensor Evaluation System is an easy-to-use evaluation tool designed for benchtop or desktop characterization of Analog Devices, Inc. inertial sensor products. The system consists of an Inertial Sensor Evaluation Board (ISEB, the motherboard) and satellite boards compatible with a variety of Analog Devices inertial sensor products. The ISEB connects directly to a PC via a USB cable, which provides both power and communication to the evaluation board. The ISEB connects to the satellite board via a ribbon cable, allowing the satellite board to be easily handled for testing or placed separately in an environmental chamber for temperature or humidity testing. Separating the evaluation boards reduces data corruption caused by temperature and humidity effects on other components. The ISEB is a universal motherboard designed to work with various satellite boards for Analog Devices inertial sensors, including analog and digital accelerometers and gyroscopes. Different products are evaluated through dedicated GUIs customized for performance and characterization measurements of the inertial sensor under evaluation. The EVAL-ADXRS450Z-M/ADXRS453Z-M system includes the ISEB and the EVAL-ADXRS450Z-S/ADXRS453Z-S satellite board, as well as a USB Type-A to Mini-B cable for connecting the ISEB to a PC, and an 18-inch, 20-pin ribbon cable for connecting the ISEB to the satellite board. An included CD contains the drivers and installation software needed to use the system and quickly begin evaluating the ADXRS450/ADXRS453.
