Descrizione
The UCD7100 device is a digitally controlled compatible UCD7K series driver designed for applications using digital control technology that require fast local peak current limiting protection. The UCD7100 is a ±4A low-side high-current MOSFET gate driver that supports digital power controllers such as the UCD9110 or UCD9501 to connect the power stage in single-ended topologies. It provides cycle-by-cycle current limiting with a programmable threshold and a digital output current limit flag that can be monitored by the host controller. With 25ns fast cycle-by-cycle current limiting protection, the driver can shut down the power stage in the event that the digital system cannot respond to a fault in time. To achieve fast switching speeds, the UCD7100 output stage uses the TrueDrive™ output architecture, which delivers ±4A rated current to the MOSFET gate during the Miller plateau of switching transitions. It also includes a 3.3V, 10mA linear regulator to power the digital controller. The UCD7000 driver family is compatible with standard 3.3V I/O ports of DSPs, microcontrollers, or ASICs. The UCD7100 is available in a PowerPAD™ HTSSOP-14 package.
