Descrizione
The LM25088 high-voltage asynchronous buck controller integrates all the features required to implement an efficient, high-voltage buck converter using a minimum number of external components. The LM25088 is configurable for operation over an ultra-wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 42V. This easy-to-use controller includes a level-shifting gate driver capable of controlling an external N-channel buck switch. The control method is based on peak current mode control with an emulated current ramp. The use of an emulated current ramp reduces the noise sensitivity of the PWM circuit, enabling reliable control of the extremely small duty cycles required in high input voltage, low output voltage applications. The LM25088 features a programmable switching frequency from 50kHz to 1MHz.
The LM25088 is available in two versions: the LM25088-1 provides ±5% frequency dithering to reduce conducted and radiated EMI, while the LM25088-2 provides a general-purpose restart timer for overload protection. Additional features include a low-dropout bias regulator, a three-level enable input for controlling shutdown and standby modes, soft-start, and oscillator synchronization capability. The device is offered in a thermally enhanced 16-pin HTSSOP package.
