ADI ADM8699ARNZ

The ADM8698/ADM8699 power supervisors provide power supply monitoring and watchdog timing for microprocessor systems. The ADM8698 monitors a 5 V VCC supply and generates a RESET pulse during power-up, power-down, and low-voltage brownout conditions. The RESET output is guaranteed valid (logic low) even when VCC falls as low as 1 V. The ADM8699 incorporates the same monitoring circuitry as the ADM8698, with the addition of a watchdog timer input for monitoring microprocessor activity. If the watchdog input fails to toggle within the 1-second watchdog timeout period, the RESET output is forced low. Both devices are available in 8-pin plastic DIP/SOIC and 16-pin SOIC packages. The 16-pin SOIC provides additional outputs: RESET (non-inverted) and watchdog output WDO (ADM8699 only).
