Beschreibung
The TPS7B81 is a low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator that operates at input voltages up to 40V and delivers up to 150mA of output current. The device features a quiescent current of only 2.7μA at light load, making it ideal for wide-input power supply designs and high-cell-count battery applications that require ultra-low standby power consumption. A 45V transient tolerance provides additional margin for applications with potential inductive kickback, reducing the need for external voltage suppression circuitry.
The TPS7B81 integrates short-circuit and overcurrent protection to safeguard the system under fault conditions. In addition to low standby power consumption, an ultra-low dropout voltage under light-load conditions helps maintain voltage regulation even as the battery depletes.
The TPS7B81 is available in thermally enhanced 8-pin HVSSOP and 6-pin WSON packages. Both packages offer high thermal conductivity and a compact footprint to support space-constrained applications such as power tools, motor drive modules, and battery packs.
