Opis
TP5410 is a dedicated power bank single-cell lithium-ion battery charger and constant 5V boost controller. The charging section integrates high-precision voltage and charge current regulation, pre-charge, charge status indication, and charge termination functions, capable of delivering a maximum charging current of 1A. The boost circuit employs a VFM switching DC/DC boost converter fabricated with CMOS technology, featuring extremely low no-load current. It offers very low no-load power consumption (less than 10µA), with a boost output drive current capability of up to 1A. No external button is required, enabling plug-and-play operation.
The charging section uses a linear step-down topology with a built-in PMOSFET and reverse current protection circuit, eliminating the need for external sense resistors and isolation diodes. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charging current to limit the die temperature during high-power operation or under high ambient temperature conditions. The full-charge voltage is fixed at 4.2V. The charging current can be externally set via a single resistor. When the battery reaches 4.2V, the charging current gradually decreases to 1/5 of the programmed current value, at which point TP5410 automatically terminates charging. The boost section also integrates a power NMOSFET; its low on-resistance provides drive capability up to 5V/1A. The high level of integration allows TP5410 to operate normally with minimal external components. TP5410 also integrates charge temperature protection and a boost input power current-limiting loop that dynamically adjusts current according to load conditions, along with fast response and over-current shutdown functionality. The boost converter operates in variable-frequency mode, resulting in significantly lower no-load power consumption, lower ripple, stronger drive capability, and higher efficiency compared to similar products both domestically and internationally.
