OmniVision's OV02C is a 1/7-inch, 2-megapixel image sensor designed for full HD video in narrow-bezel premium laptops, tablets, and IoT devices. The OV02C is a fully-featured image sensor that combines superior video performance and ultra-low power consumption in an ultra-compact form factor, ideal for high screen-to-body ratio designs. The sensor combines smaller pixel size with high resolution in the smallest footprint to deliver the most vivid video and image quality. It delivers outstanding pixel performance at 60 frames per second (fps) within the thinnest 3mm module Y-dimension, optimized for high screen-to-body ratio designs. Based on OmniVision's PureCel®Plus-S stacked die technology, the OV02C achieves high functionality in the smallest die size. This next-generation pixel technology also provides higher color fidelity and excellent low-light sensitivity, along with a high SNR of 37.5dB for sharper images. In addition, PureCel®Plus-S delivers higher full well capacity, blooming-free operation, and lower power consumption. The OV02C's "always-on" feature enables user presence detection in ultra-low power mode, allowing the system to lock and wake contactlessly to extend battery life. The OV02C also supports multi-camera synchronization and multi-frame HDR for 30fps live video streaming.
