Descrizione
The MSMLG(J)5.0A to MXLSMLG(J)170A series high-reliability transient voltage suppressors (TVS) protect circuits against voltage spikes from pulse power up to 3000W (10/1000 μs) waveform. The SMLG in DO-215AB package features a gull-wing design for visible solder joints. The SMLJ in DO-214AB package features a J-bend design for higher PCB mounting density. Available in unidirectional and bidirectional types, as well as RoHS-compliant versions. These products offer multiple upscreening options for enhanced reliability. They provide protection against secondary effects of lightning per IEC61000-4-5, as well as voltage transients induced by inductive switching environments and RF radiated interference. Due to their near-instantaneous response time, they are also suitable for protection against ESD and EFT per IEC61000-4-2 and IEC61000-4-4.
Caratteristiche
- All M-prefix devices are high-reliability components with manufacturing and assembly lot traceability; all devices are 100% surge tested.
- Standby current (I<sub>D</sub>) of all M-prefix devices is subject to 3σ lot qualification screening; available in unidirectional and bidirectional versions.
- Suppresses transients up to 3000W at 10/1000 μs.
- All M-prefix devices are Moisture Sensitivity Level 1 per IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020B — no dry-pack required.
- Referencing MIL-PRF-19500, M-prefix devices offer enhanced reliability screening options. For more details on screening options, refer to the High Reliability Upscreened Plastic Product Portfolio. (See part nomenclature for all available options.)
- RoHS-compliant versions available.
- Axial-lead equivalent packages for through-hole mounting available as M5KP5.0A through M5KP110CA, rated at 5000W. (Contact Microchip for other SMT options.)
