Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) is a circuit protection component that attenuates or filters transient voltage spikes (overvoltage). Upon surge arrival, it undergoes avalanche breakdown within a few nanoseconds, redirecting surge current to ground and clamping the voltage within a safe range, thereby providing high-efficiency voltage protection.
