The TPS7A83A is a low-noise (4.4μV_RMS), low-dropout linear regulator (LDO) capable of delivering 2A with a maximum dropout voltage of only 200mV. The TPS7A8300A output voltage is pin-programmable from 0.8V to 3.95V in 50mV steps and adjustable from 0.8V to 5.2V using an external resistor divider. The TPS7A8301A output voltage is pin-programmable from 0.5V to 2.075V in 25mV steps and adjustable from 0.5V to 5.2V using an external resistor divider.
For digital loads requiring low-input and low-output (LILO) voltage operation — such as ASICs, FPGAs, and DSPs — the TPS7A83A delivers exceptional accuracy (0.75% over load and temperature range), remote sensing, excellent transient performance, and soft-start capability to ensure superior system performance. Combining low noise, high PSRR, and high output current capability, the TPS7A83A is ideally suited to power noise-sensitive components in high-speed communications, video, medical, and test-and-measurement applications. The TPS7A83A's high performance suppresses power supply-induced phase noise and clock jitter, making it designed to power high-performance SerDes, ADCs, DACs, and RF components. The device's outstanding performance and output capability up to 5.2V make it particularly well-suited for RF amplifier applications.
