Beschreibung
The Si5332-AM automotive-grade clock generator uses proprietary MultiSynth flexible frequency synthesis technology to generate any combination of output frequencies with excellent jitter performance. The device's highly flexible architecture enables generation of a wide range of integer and non-integer related frequencies with zero synthesis error through up to 12 differential clock outputs on a single device. The device provides multiple output banks, each connectable to an independent voltage supply, suitable for mixed-voltage applications. In addition, the signal format of each clock output is user-configurable. With its flexibility in frequency, format, and supply voltage, the device is ideal for replacing multiple clock ICs and oscillators with a single device. The device incorporates SmartClock technology to monitor reference input health, detect faults, report faults to the system safety manager, and under external control, switch to a redundant backup source upon fault detection. When both primary and redundant reference inputs fail, AlwaysOn mode allows the output clocks to continue operating within +/-5% of the required output frequency. The device can be quickly and easily configured using ClockBuilder Pro software. The software assigns a custom part number to each unique configuration. Ordering devices with a custom part number enables free factory programming, making it easy to obtain a tailored custom clock for each application. Using its I²C interface, the device can be configured by the user at power-up or programmed into non-volatile memory using the ClockBuilder Pro field programmer.
